Tour Type Modified race added to NASCAR Clash schedule at Bowman Gray

As part of The NASCAR Cup Series Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, the preliminary undercard on Saturday will feature a 125-lap race for the Tour Type Modified division.

Tour Types are the premier division at ‘The Madhouse,’ which races every summer at the football stadium from April to August. It’s arguably the most notable weekly short track division in the country with veteran star power akin to any national tour, having been featured in two national documentary series over the past 15 years.

The Madhouse Clash will be an invitational only race, open only to the top-20 in the Bowman Gray Stadium Tour Type Modified championship standings. The Saturday schedule will feature a practice session, single car time trials and the 125 lapper.

The four fastest qualifiers will also be given the chance to give up their starting position, to start at the rear, with a chance to earn an event bonus for reaching a finishing spot inside the top-four.
