Super Late Model racing now has a unified nationwide vision and unified leadership structure for years to come.
Kevin Harvick and Tim Huddleston, operators of CARS Tour West, have joined ASA STARS, Championship Racing Association and Midwest Tour owner Marty Melo under a combined MDM Promotions ownership tree that encompasses seven different series all under the ‘CARS Tour’ branding.
Harvick and Huddleston will also join Melo as combined owners of the TrackTV streaming platform that will also broadcast every race across the MDM Promotions sanctioning body.
These divisions will be named as follows:
The ASA STARS National Tour will now become the CARS National Tour
The ASA Midwest Tour will become the CARS Midwest Tour
The CRA Pro Series will become CARS Pro Tour Midwest
A new CARS Pro Tour South
CARS Pro Tour Southwest
CARS Pro Tour Northwest
CARS Tour West Super Late Model
The Southern Super Series is notable in its absence. Even when it was run under the ASA banner, Southern Super Series was independent and operated under a strategic partnership with previous ASA owners Track Enterprises and now MDM Promotions.
Track Enterprises and president Bob Sargent sold ASA STARS, Midwest tour prior to this season.
Bryant and the Southern Super Series will continue to coordinate and strategize with Melo, Harvick and Huddleston but will ultimately operate on its own during its season and the buildup to the Snowball Derby.
Midwest Tour is also aspirationally moving towards a unified rules package with the rest of its sister divisions.
The new ownership structure is effective immediately and the division rebounds will take place on January 1. The series is finalizing its organizational structure and also a new cheaper price point for TrackTV.
Of note, even though this series carries the name ‘CARS Tour,’ it is functionally a different series than the Late Model Stock and Pro Late Model series headquartered in North Carolina owned by Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, Justin Marks and Speedway Motorsports.
That series just reached a broadcast rights extension with FloRacing and revealed its full 2026 schedule on Thursday.
Harvick, the 2014 Cup Series champion, launched CARS Tour West in 2024 with Huddleston. He has also spent a lot of his post-retirement time driving straight tail cars on the west coast and alongside prospect son Keelan.
