Port City Racecars sold to Gary Crooks

Port City Racecars

Gary Crooks and a consortium of investors have purchased Port City Racecars.

The deal was put together during the summer when Harley Boeve of Port City approached Crooks concerning his interest in Port City. The Crooks Racing team had been the southeastern dealer/repair center for Port City for over three years.

Crooks has purchased all the parts inventory, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous shop equipment and will be relocating Port City to his facility in Mooresville, North Carolina.

“Over the past few years we have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to meet and work with a lot of Port City’s great customer base,” Crooks said. “We are grateful to Harley and all involved in making this happen , and we are excited for the future of Port City and its customers. We would like to assure our customers that although relocating Port City to Mooresville will be a large undertaking that we will be working hard to make sure that there will be no hiccups during this time.

“We will still have the same website www.portcityracecars.com, same phone number, 231.767.8586, and you will receive the same quality service that you have come to expect.”

Boeve will remain involved as a consultant for an untold period of time during the transition process.
