Brent Crews to lead ASA STARS field to green at Hickory

Here is the starting lineup for the Tar Hill 250

ASA Hickory Lineup

Brent Crews was fastest in time trials for the ASA STARS national Super Late Model series Tar Hill 250 at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Driving the No. 24 for Donnie Wilson Motorsports, the reigning World Series of Asphalt champion posted a lap of 14.244 to lead a field of 25 Super Late Models. He will be joined on the front row by Dawson Sutton of Rackley WAR fresh off his NASCAR Truck Series debut on Sunday.

“The car is good,” Crews said. “I just want to thank this whole Donnie Wilson Motorsports crew, everyone at Mobil1, this car is a pleasure. I didn’t know I was running this race until three weeks ago. It’s been a blast working with James and Bond, everyone with this crew, these guys are so good.”

The car put together one fast lap but how about 250 tonight?

“That’s the name of the game,” he said. “That’s what we set up for and we expect to be up there for sure.”

There is weather in the area and the start of the race will surely be delayed. Whenever it starts, it will air on TrackTV. The starting lineup can be found below.
