Now the season finale for the ASA STARS National Super Late Model Tour, the Florida Governor’s Cup 200 at New Smyrna Speedway will pay $20,000 to the winner, $7500 for second and $2,000 to start.
It’s part of a broader effort from MDM Promotions to strengthen this event for years to come, starting with this event, and aiming to grow car counts during that span.
In addition to its status as an ASA STARS finale this season, the race will also feature the track debut of YouTuber turned NASCAR hopeful Garrett Mitchell, who races under the name ‘Cleetus McFarland.’
