Rain nixes Langley Speedway, 100 lap Late Model race

Like South Boston, Langley Speedway was also rained out as lingering thunderstorms put a halt to MGL Granite Race Night in Hampton, Virginia.

The event would have been headlined by a 100 lap feature for the Late Model Stock division, which has a tremendous championship battle between Greg Edwards, Mark Wertz, Danny Edwards Jr. and Woody Howard.

It’s the only extra distance race at the track outside of the CARS Tour race and Hampton Heat 200.

There’s no word if this events, and races that also included a full slate of local divisions, was outright canceled or delayed to another date.

MGL Granite Race Night was just outright cancelled. Track owners gave us(the drivers) an option of waiting the rain out and track drying until around 9-930, or just outright cancel.
