ASA STARS Tour sets new date for Five Flags

ASA STARS National Tour and Five Flags Speedway officials announced that the Sunshine State 200 will now take place on Sunday, March 23rd instead of its originally scheduled date on Friday, March 21st.

Friday, March 21st will now have local divisions racing to kick off the Season Opening weekend in Pensacola, Florida. The divisions that will compete on Friday will be announced at a late date. The Vores Compact Touring Series will also have an optional practice on Friday.

Saturday will be the Season Opener for ARCA Menards Series East and the Vores Compact Touring Series, along with practice for the ASA STARS National Tour. Sunday will see the Sunshine State 200 for the ASA STARS Super Late Models, their secon race of the season.

It was also announced earlier that the Southern Super Series has added the Florida Governor’s Cup at New Smyrna Speedway for their 2025, becoming the final race of the season. The championship race will take place on Saturday, November 15th. It is the second time that the Southern Super Series has crowned their champion at the track.

Scotte is from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, living just a few minutes from the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway.
