Cordele flies onto Dale Earnhardt, Jr’s radar

CARS Tour owner says he wants to race at Georgia track

Racing fans in Georgia might soon get to see Dale Earnhardt, Jr. race in the Peach State.

In a post on X Tuesday night, Earnhardt said he wanted to race at Cordele Motor Speedway, which is coming off the heels of the World Crown 300.  It’s noteworthy that Earnhardt does not often post cryptic statements on social media without following through.

Earnhardt’s tweet drew instant reaction across the scene.

Cordele Motor Speedway is set to host its annual Speedfest racing program on January 17-18, 2025.  Cordele shares a lot of similarities with Florence Motor Speedway, a 4/10-mile track in South Carolina with Earnhardt competes at multiple times a year.

Earlier this year, Earnhardt posted about his calendar being open after the CARS Tour race at New River All American Speedway in Jacksonville, North Carolina was postponed to a later date due to rain.  When the race was run in April, Earnhardt was among the competitors, drawing the largest crowd in the track’s 25-year history.

Earnhardt also expressed interest on social media about racing at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia, and followed through by racing in the Hampton Heat 200 – the track’s annual mid-summer highlight.
