Rescheduled ASA race sets up blockbuster week in Granite Falls

ASA returns to Tri County on Wednesday, September 9

After being rained out in May, the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour has announced a make-up date for their race at Tri County Speedway, which will now be a midweek matinee kicking off a blockbuster week of racing.

The race was originally scheduled to be held on May 23 but was rained out.  Now, it will take place on Wednesday, September 9, a race that will also feature an INEX Legend Car National Qualifier race.  Then, on Saturday, September 12, the zMAX CARS Tour will be in action at the Granite Falls, North Carolina racetrack.

The multi-day event will be promoted by MDM Promotions in partnership with ASA and the CARS Tour.

“MDM Promotions, who will be promoting the September 9th event, and be working with the CARS Tour to create some unique ticketing options for fans, creating a great week of racing for fans at this double header week at Tri County Speedway,” a series press release reads.  “The Carolina 250 will feature the Platinum drivers of the ASA STARS National Tour along with a host of NASCAR and upcoming second-generation drivers.”

NASCAR Cup Series competitor Christopher Bell and teenage phenom Keelan Harvick are among the stars expected to compete in the Carolina 250.

The next race for the ASA STARS National Tour will take place on Wednesday, August 26 at Owosso Speedway in Michigan.

Every ASA STARS National Tour race is broadcast on the Track TV cstreaming platform.
