CARS Tour West is independent from the series with the same name in the Carolinas in Virginias and is effectively as a licensing agreement. Kevin Harvick, who co-owns the series on the east coast, also co-owns the west coast series alongside veteran promoter Tim Huddleston.

The series runs Pro Late Models, Limited Pro Late Models and Super Late Models at current time.
Matt Weaver is the owner and founder of Short Track Scene. Weaver grew up in the sport, having raced himself before becoming a reporter in college at the University of South Alabama. He also has extensive experience covering NASCAR, IndyCar and Dirt Sprint Cars.
