Paillie parts with Ranger, focuses on Camirand

Three-time Andrew Ranger is now looking for a ride after Paillé Course Racing elected not to renew his deal for the 2026 NASCAR Canada Series season.

The team confirmed it will return this year as a single-car operation, shifting its full focus to fellow three-time champion Marc-Antoine Camirand and the No. 96 entry.

The move comes with roughly three months remaining before the season, leaving Ranger — one of the most accomplished drivers in series history — without a confirmed ride.

Team owner Jean-Claude Paillé cited economic factors behind the decision, including broader uncertainty impacting motorsports investment. With Ranger not bringing primary funding, the split ultimately came down to business.

Despite fan backlash toward Paillé, Ranger urged for perspective.

“Please know I am touched by your kind words of encouragement,” Ranger said. “I’ve seen a lot of comments over the last few days and understand that some are disappointed.

“But I want to take a moment to remember something important. Jean-Claude Paillé has given me an incredible opportunity in recent years. He invested tremendously in my journey and without him some of the moments I experienced in NASCAR Canada simply wouldn’t have been possible.

“In our sport, team decisions are sometimes difficult and are influenced by several realities, including economic ones.”

Now, Ranger turns his focus to finding a new opportunity for 2026.

“My motivation remains intact,” Ranger said. “My objective is clear: to continue running at the highest level and I would like an opportunity to be on the grid in 2026.”
