It’s the busiest touring Super Late Model season in decades with both ASA and SRL taking turns putting on shows with marquee entry lists and increased purses.
SRL National has opened its season with the All-Star Showdown 200 at Kern County, Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway and Davidson Electric 125 at Mobile International Speedway and now turns its attention to Money in the Bank 150 at Berlin Raceway on June 6-7.
It’s the second consecutive season that SRL has promoted event alongside the speedway in Marne Michigan and a healthy entry list has already emerged with two weeks remaining until the event.
Of the national headliners, inaugural winner (2017) Bubba Pollard has already filed an entry for his annual appearance to Western Michigan and is joined by fellow traveling contenders Derek Griffith, Jett Noland and Gio Ruggiero.
NASCAR Cup Series contender Erik Jones is back for an annual trip to one of his home tracks. A midweek show also allows Cup Series spotter and short track moonlighter Derek Kneeland to return to Money in the Bank for a second year in a row.
All told, there are 33 names on the current provisional entry list, anchored by all the regulars of Berlin Raceway’s local program anchored by its $50,000 NASCAR Weekly Series points fund. That includes track champions Evan Shotko, Brian Campbell, Nate Walton and Scott Thomas.
NASCAR Truck Series contender Carson Hocevar also boasts a Berlin track championship and will be back in his familiar No. 14 and previously winning this race in 2021.
