The Southern Super Series will again invite the best of the best of the Super Late Model community for an 12-race schedule in 2021 that also includes a 13th non-points event.

The campaign includes several events that are co-sanctioned with various other regional promoters including the non-points All-American 400 on Halloween weekend at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

South Alabama Speedway in Kinston, Alabama will host the season opening event for the eighth consecutive year on March 12-14. Afterwards, the Southern Super Series will join the CARS Super Late Model Tour for a new event at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on April 10.

Another co-sanctioned event, this time with CARS and the CRA Super Series, will take place on May 8 in the North South Challenge at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on May 8.

In the early years of the Southern Super Series, the tour scheduled Friday-Saturday Gulf Coast doubleheaders at Five Flags Speedway and Mobile International Speedway. A form of the doubleheader will take place on June 4 and 5 at 5 Flags and Montgomery Motor Speedway.

The second doubleheader of the season will see consecutive races at Five Flags Speedway on July 23-24.

Mobile International Speedway will return to the schedule this summer for a revived event on June 26.

The annual visit to Watermelon Capital Speedway for the Georgia Summer Nationals will take on additional meaning in 2021.  With the unfortunate relocation of SpeedFest this year, the Georgia Summer Nationals will be the only Super Late Model event at Watermelon Capital Speedway.

That race is scheduled for August 14.

October 2 finds the Southern Super Series back at Five Flags for the final time in advance of the Snowball Derby alongside the Pro Late Models.

“While 2020 was a strange year to say the least, no one can argue that the on-track competition was nothing short of outstanding,” said Tim Bryant, Southern Super Series operator in a press release. “For 2021, we anticipate it to be even better. There are so many good teams and drivers, it’s creating even more interest for fans.

“With a pair of doubleheader weekends, visiting some new tracks, some new faces along with some existing star power, we feel the Southern Super Series may be in for the best year ever.”
