Cordele Motor Speedway loosely unveils Super Fest concept

Cordele Motor Speedway will host a season long series for both the Super and Pro Late Model divisions under the name Super Fest.

Basically, the premise sounds like the Blizzard Series and Allen Turner Pro Series from Five Flags or the Show Me The Money Series at Monthly.

But with a twist.

Participation in the four events leading up to the World Crown 300 will offer a bonus paid at the conclusion of the World Crown 300. For example, the winner of the 2025 World Crown 300 will receive $35,000. However, with bonuses from competing in the first four Super Fest events, that driver could receive up to $75,000.

“With the trend of traditional point systems not having a following and travel cost in today’s world, it’s becoming less important to follow certain series. We want a four-race system that will lead up to the fifth event for Super Lates,” said track owner Greg Noland. “We also wanted a system that makes a driver not want to miss any of our races.”

Full details were not provided but the release says ‘the Super Fest series will have select marquee Super Late Model events included that will pay an increased purse, with the expectation to draw some of the top Super Late Model teams in the country.’

Right now, Cordele has marquee events like Speedfest, the Georgia Spring Nationals and Georgia Summer Nationals, and now taking the name of the old World Crown 300 that was run at the track most recently named Gresham Motorsports Park.

Those events could make up the foundation of the series but again, no details were provided.

This story will be updated as more information is released.
