The Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour has released its 2021 schedule with some notable additions and glaring omissions.
The CARS Tour will kick off its 2021 season at Rockingham Speedway on March 20 with the Late Model Stocks. The Super Late Models will open their season on March 20 at Hickory Motor Speedway alongside the Late Model Stock Tour.
The Super Late Models and Late Model Stocks will run alongside each other again at Hickory Motor Speedway on July 31 with the return of the Throwback 276, which was replaced by a regular tour event in 2020 due to COVID-19, and at Motor Mile Speedway on August 28, Tri-County Speedway on September 11 and South Boston Speedway on October 16.
The Old North State Nationals will return to Orange County Speedway, in North Carolina, on April 24-25th paying $30,000-to-win and $1,250-to-start. The Late Model Stocks will also hold standalone races at Ace Speedway on May 7, Langley Speedway on June 5, Dominion Raceway on June 19, Wake County Speedway on August 14 and Florence Motor Speedway on October 2.
The Super Late Models will run mostly companion events, running in association with the Southern Super Series at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on April 10, Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in conjunction with ARCA/CRA and the Southern Super Series on May 8 and Jennerstown Speedway with CRA on July 3 paying $20,000-to-win for a second straight year.
After its postponement to create a new tire for the event, Rockingham Speedway will serve as the Late Model Stock season finale.
There is one date, May 22, that is to be announced.
Notable exclusions from the 2021 schedule include Carteret County Speedway and Southern National Motorsports Park.
