Kyle Steckly to chase ASA national title with Rette Jones

Kyle Steckly will compete for the ASA STARS national championship in 2024 with Rette Jones Racing.

The second generation racer is the son of four-time NASCAR Canada Series champion Scott Steckly, with an impressive burgeoning resume himself, including he 2023 APC United Pro Late Model Series championship in Ontatio.

Steckly is now 18 and looking to race stateside and is looking to make a name for himself against the likes of Ty Majeski, Bubba Pollard, Stepen Nasse and fellow countryman Cole Butcher.

“I am so thankful for this opportunity to compete in the 2024 ASA STARS National Tour schedule this year,” said Steckly in a press release. “With the support of the Rette Jones Racing team, I believe we can have a competitive season and a year with wins and hopefully bring home the championship.

“I know it’s going to be a year of learning – tackling new tracks for the first time in my career, but with the support of my team, our partners, and others, I believe this will be a season to remember.”

He will race with support from APC Auto Parts out of Canada.

It also marks the full-time Late Model campaign for Mark Rette and Terry Jones.

“It is so awesome to be partnered with Kyle and Auto Parts Centres | Canusa for the full 2024 ASA STARS National Tour schedule,” said Rette. “Kyle comes to Rette Jones Racing with an impressive racing resume and a strong racing family heritage behind him.

“We have high hopes for the year, and with Kyle’s talent and the investment our team has made for the ASA STARS National Tour, it will be a season to remember.”

Matt Weaver is the owner and founder of Short Track Scene. Weaver grew up in the sport, having raced himself before becoming a reporter in college at the University of South Alabama. He also has extensive experience covering NASCAR, IndyCar and Dirt Sprint Cars.
