ASA STARS announces PepperJack Kennels Rookie of the Year Program

The ASA STARS National Tour have announced the PepperJack Kennels Rookie of the Year Program for 2025.

The program will feature a $2,500 cash prize from PepperJack Kennels and $2,000 worth of Product Certificates courtesy of Holley, Simpson, MSD and Fire Suppression Solutions. So far Chase Pinsonneault, George Phillips, Gavan Boschele, Ty Fredrickson and Carson Brown will be competing for the Rookie of the Year title.

“We’re excited to partner with PepperJack Kennels to create a program that highlights the next generation of stars in our sport,” said Bob Sargent, CEO of Track Enterprises. “Short-track racing is built on developing talent, and this initiative provides a great opportunity for up-and-coming drivers to make their mark on a national stage.”

PepperJack Kennels is known for its commitment to excellence in quality labrador retrievers as well as well as the racing world, and has been a supporter of grassroots motorsports for a long time. Their involvement in the ASA STARS National Tour Rookie of the Year Program shows their commitment to recognizing and rewarding the up and coming talent.

“I have always believed in supporting short track racing, and this partnership with the ASA STARS National Tour allows me to do just that,” said Misty Melo, Owner of PepperJack Kennels. “The Rookie of the Year Program gives young drivers a chance to prove themselves and take the next step in their careers, and I encourage more partners to come onboard to help build this program.”

The PepperJack Kennels Rookie of the Year battle begins with the ASA STARS National Tour season opener at New Smyrna Speedway as part of Speedweeks at the track on Tuesday February 11.

Scotte is from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, living just a few minutes from the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. Scotte has raced at local dirt tracks for over five years, as well as covering NASCAR and short track races for nearly a year now, and has a firey passion for all motorsports, working to achieve a career as a driver.
