Travis Braden joins Shotko Motorsports for the Snowflake 100

Travis Braden is joining forces with Shotko Motorsports to run the 2024 Snowflake 100, the Pro Late Model portion of the prestigious Snowball Derby week at Five Flags Speedway.

West Michigan’s Shotko Motorsports will field the No. 69 Pro Late Model for Braden at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida for the Derby weekend at the beginning of December; something Braden is very familiar with. He is a two-time CRA Super Series Champion, and won the Snowball Derby in 2019. He is also the setup mechanic for the Hendrick Motorsports No. 48 team.

“The Snowball Derby holds a special place in my heart,” said the West Virginian driver. “It’s been a while since I last raced in the Snowflake 100, and I’m very excited to pilot the Shotko Motorsports entry this year. Evan is a fierce competitor- as both a driver and owner- with a lot of grit, and I believe that will show on race day.I hope we can put on a great show for the fans and bring home the Bill Bryant trophy.”

Evan Shotko, who is the race winning driver, crew chief and owner of Shotko Motorsports, is looking forward to the partnership.

“We’re very excited to add Travis to the Shotko Motorsports family. Having raced him myself, I’ve known Travis to be a hard, clean, and strategic racer. We both come from the same kind of background in racing, with that same drive to win and a hands-on knowledge of the car on a mechanical level that will set us apart from the competition.”

Scotte is from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, living just a few minutes from the historic race track. Scotte has raced at local dirt tracks for five years, as well as covering NASCAR and short track races for nearly a year now, and has a firey passion for all motorsports, working to achieve a career as a driver.
