Dylan Fetcho Racing announced on Monday that Anthony Bello will drive the No. 51 Pro Late Model for the team in the Snowflake 100.
Bello, 19, has been racing since he was seven years old and is a Tour Type Modified mainstay, most recently primarily running in the SMART Tour.
“I’m feeling very confident in my abilities going into my first Snowball Derby event and the Snowflake 100,” said Bello. “I am thrilled to be with a top-notch organization running with Dylan Fetcho Racing. The Derby is a big stage, and I am ready to show the world what I really have to offer in this next step of my driving career.”
Team co-owner Dylan Fetcho says the team is really pleased to add Bello to their growing development team driver roster.
“Anthony is on a proven path that has already seen a lot of success in his young career,” said Fetcho. “We take a great deal of pride in the confidence he has in our organization to take him to the next level. It’s a huge compliment to our team’s ability. We are definitely excited to have him in the Snowflake this year.”
Bello will be sponsored by Bello Motorsports, JB Management and Troy City Tactical.
After cutting his teeth in indoor karts, Bello moved to the Bandolero series in 201, racing at Bethel Speedway and at the Waterford Speedbowl. Bello captured the INEX State (CT) Championship in the process. In 2018 he moved up to the U.S. Legends Cars International Series, repeating a state championship.
He would make the jump to SK Modifieds in 2020 at Waterford, progressing to the SK Lights the following year. He would win the 602 championship at New Smyrna Speedway in 2021, while also competing at Stafford Motor Speedway and Thompson Speedway, including winning the Thompson SK Light track championship and the Modified Racing Series rookie of the year.
Bello continued to run Open Modifieds and the SK Modifieds at Stafford in 2022, where he finished seventh in points, and was crowned rookie of the year there with 2 wins.
In 2023, Bello ran part-time in the ACT Late Models and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, all the while continuing to race Open Modifieds. He has raced Open Modifieds, PASS Late Models, and ran full-time in the SMART Modified Tour, where he would finish 8th in the championship, all in 2024.
Action for the 57th Snowball Derby kicks off on December 4th. The Snowflake 100 will be on Saturday, December 7 beginning at 7 p.m. CST with the Snowball Derby taking the green flag the following day at 1 p.m. All the events will be streamed live on FloRacing.
