A preliminary field of 24 is set to contest one of the most prestigious Pro Late Model Races in the country, the 62nd Alabama 200, this Saturday March 7.
This year’s entry list for the marquee event at Montgomery Motor Speedway draws in some of Pro Late Models best including, Kaden Honeycutt, Jake Finch & defending Show Me The Money Series champion, Jim Wall.
The event has a rich history of winners dating back to the inaugural event in 1960. The list of former victors include NASCAR Hall of Famers, Red Farmer, Bobby Allison and “The King” Richard Petty along with other short track stars like Eddie Mercer and Augie Grill. The event was historically a Super Late Model event but made the switch to Pro Late Models in 2009.
The only former winners entered in the field is Christopher Tullis, Dave Mader and defending winner, John Bolen, leaving the door open for a potential new champion in the hunt for the bear.
The 62nd running of the Alabama 200 is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at 6 p.m. CT. The race will air live on Racing America and the entry list can be viewed below
