Following a season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, 2017 Pinty’s champion Alex Labbe announced his return to full-time competition in the Pinty’s Series.
The 26-year-old from St-Albert, Quebec won the 2017 Pinty’s Title and made the move to full time Xfinity Series competition for DGM Racing last season. Labbe’s best finish was 8that Mid-Ohio.
“I’ve always enjoyed running the Pinty’s series, it’s really competitive,” said Labbe at the Quebec City Salon Autosport. “For sure one of my reasons was to come back and win another championship because that’s what we left off with in 2017.”

Labbe will once again be partnering up with long time team
owner Dave Jacombs, who helped Labbe win the title two seasons ago. Also
joining the team are sponsors Silver Wax and Le Hotel Concorde, these partners
will adorn the side of Labbe’s familiar No.36.
“I’ve been trying to work a deal with Dave for a long time,” Labbe said. “We had a lot of help from Martin D’Anjou from FestiDragTV. He’s the one that brought the sponsorship package from the Concorde. We finally are able to build a good program and go for another championship this year.”
In 2016, Labbe scored his first victory at his home track at
Chaudiere, he then followed up with 5 more en route to the championship. In
2018, Labbe made a one-off start at GP3R where he finished third. In addition
to his full time Pinty’s schedule, Labbe will also be making part time starts
in the No.90 Xfinity Series ride at DGM.
Labbe is eager to get back racing and is ready to once again attempt to conquer NASCAR Canada’s highest level.
