New venues, such as a quarter-mile bullring in Raleigh, will join familiar tracks on the 2026 SMART Modified Tour.
The series schedule, released Tuesday, features races at Wake County Speedway, Pulaski County Motorsports Park (formerly Motor Mile Speedway), and Anderson Motor Speedway. Familiar venues, such as North Wilkesboro Speedway, Caraway Speedway, Carteret County Speedway, Florence Motor Speedway, and Franklin County Speedway will return in 2026.
“We have a schedule full of big races at some very competitive racetracks,” SMART Modified Tour Series Director Chris Williams said in a press release. “We’ve had the schedule tentatively completed for a couple of weeks, but we wanted to work with the tracks to ensure we gave them everything they needed to have an outstanding show.”
The season will start on Saturday, February 28, at Florence. The following week, the tour will head to Anderson Motor Speedway, also in South Carolina. The series returns to South Boston Speedway on March 21, then heads to Dominion Raceway and Hickory Motor Speedway the next two weekends. Wake County Speedway will host its first SMART Modified Tour race on Friday night, April 24.
As is tradition for the tour, the schedule will slow down in the summer, allowing drivers to compete regularly at Bowman Gray Stadium. The summer races will include Franklin County Speedway on Friday, May 29, Caraway Speedway on Saturday, July 4, and Pulaski County on Friday, August 7.
After the Bowman Gray season winds down, the SMART Modified Tour will roar back to action at Carteret County Speedway on Saturday, September 5. The following two weekends will see races at Caraway and Orange County Speedway. The season will wind down in October with the penultimate race taking place October 3 at Tri-County and the finale at North Wilkesboro on October 17.
