Connor Hall sweeps Langley to extend NASCAR national lead

Make that four in a row at Langley Speedway for Connor Hall.

Returning home for consecutive Saturdays without a CARS Tour conflict, Hall is undefeated at home in his four starts with only the Edwards Brothers winning in his absence on opening night last month.

In race number one, Hall led wire-to-wire but needed to keep Ryan Matthews behind him late while in the nightcap, Hall overcame a nine-car invert and did it 23 laps. He cracked the top-5 by 10 laps into the race and overcame Ryley Music on Lap 23 after a five-lap defensive clinic.

“We were free tonight but it allowed us to really cut the middle,” Hall said casually in victory lane. “It didn’t let us have the drive off we normally would but Hedgecock builds incredible cars and I just pulled another off the jig and am looking forward to putting that one together. It’s a complete honor to drive Hedgecock race cars. Thanks to my guys because they work harder than I do, that’s for sure.”

It was a similar sentiment after his first win.

“It’s a really good piece and I can’t continue to stress enough how much Chad Bryant has done for me,” Hall said. “He’s been an incredible mentor. I have a good group of volunteers who help me make this happen up here too.”

Hall continues to lead both the NASCAR Weekly Series national points and the CARS Tour standings.
