Martinsville Speedway sets date for 2026 ValleyStar Late Model 300

The ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway will once again continue to host the final and most prestigious leg of the Virginia Late Model Stock Triple Crown on Saturday, September 26.

The Virginia Triple Crown will continue to comprise of the South Boston 200 on June 27 at South Boston Speedway and the Hampton Heat on July 25 at Langley Speedway all before Martinsville decides a champion based on the best average finish across the three races.

2026 marks the 31st Triple Crown.

“The ValleyStar Credit Union 300 is an event that our fans and everyone at Martinsville Speedway eagerly awaits every year,” said Clay Campbell, President of Martinsville Speedway in a press release. “It embodies a rich history of tradition, grit, and perseverance, all coming together in one unforgettable race, and not only does it offer the chance to celebrate a race winner, but also a Triple Crown Champion.”

Landon Pembleton won the race for a second time in 2025 in a photo finish with the legendary Lee Pulliam in one of the best stories of the season. Connor Hall claimed the Triple Crown championship last year driving for JR Motorsports.

Matt Weaver is the owner and founder of Short Track Scene. Weaver grew up in the sport, having raced himself before becoming a reporter in college at the University of South Alabama. He also has extensive experience covering NASCAR, IndyCar and Dirt Sprint Cars.
