Bobby McCarty leaving R&S Race Cars after season

Three-time CARS Tour champion Bobby McCarty is leaving the R&S Race Cars team at the end of the season.

He announced the end of his two-year tenure with the team with a social media post.

“After a significant chapter in my racing career, I am announcing my departure from R&S Race Cars,” McCarty said. “I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at R&S for their hard work, dedication, and commitment. The experience and friendships formed with the team are something I will always value.

“This decision does not signal the end of my racing journey. In fact, my career is far from over, and I am already gearing up for what’s to come in 2025. The future holds new opportunities, and I can’t wait to get back on track and continue pursuing my passion for racing.

“Thank you to all my supporters for standing by me, and I look forward to the exciting times ahead.”

R&S co-owner Marcus Richmond echoed that sentiment.

I want to thank Bobby McCarty myself he has been more than just a driver to me and my family,” Richmond said. “Unfortunately funding these Late Models has become hard in the last year.

“I wish nothing but the best of luck in his career.”
