Glass City 200 at Toledo canceled

Daniel Vining

The 38th running of the CorvetteParts.com Glass City 200 at Toledo Speedway has been canceled, as issued in a statement release by the ASA STARS National Tour today.

After reviewing the latest weekend weather forecasts, ASA STARS National Tour and Toledo Speedway have made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s ASA STARS National Tour event at Toledo Speedway due to predicted heavy rain and high winds throughout the weekend.

With race teams beginning to travel to Toledo from across the country, both organizations felt it was important to make this decision as early as possible. Considering the significant fuel, travel, and lodging costs involved, along with the low likelihood of being able to successfully complete the event as scheduled, canceling the event now is in the best overall interest of our race teams, partners, and fans.

While canceling an event is never the outcome anyone wants, the decision early provides teams and fans the opportunity to adjust their travel plans and avoid unnecessary expenses.

This was set to be the ninth race of the 2026 season, which originally had 12 races scheduled at the start of the year. The Tour’s stop at Dominion Raceway was also cancelled due to impending inclement weather and travel conditions. The Governor’s Cup at New Smyrna was added to replace that event and will close out the 2026 season.

The most recent event, held last week at Tri-County Speedway in North Carolina, was a makeup race from the originally scheduled date in May.

No such luck for the Toledo event, as Promoter Marty Melo has confirmed to Short Track Scene that there will be no make up date scheduled for this race.

The 38th Glass City 200 designation will now be awarded on Saturday, October 3rd as a part of Stars, Stripes and Speed Fest at Toledo Speedway.

Up next for the ASA STARS National Tour is the annual pilgrimage to Winchester, Indiana for the Winchester 400 on October 11th, streamed live on Track TV.
