The inaugural IHRA Stock Car event at Pulaski County Motorsports Park will feature a strong mix of regional veterans and local standouts for the series’ first race.
The event also marks a new chapter for the International Hot Rod Association, which recently entered into a lease agreement to operate Pulaski County Motorsports Park making this inaugural event both a race and a foundational step in the track’s future.
25 cars make up the preliminary Late Model Sportsman entry list, featuring a mix of racers from across the region, including weekly standouts Ryan Wilson and Dylan Newsome. CARS Tour presence is also in the field, with Kade Brown driving a car fielded by the Millingtons.
The Pro Late Model division currently sits at 13 entries, with IHRA expecting additional cars to register at the track after issues with the pre-registration system.
Beyond the competition itself, the event serves as a proving ground for IHRA’s expansion into stock car racing. With no established notebook for the new division, the debut is expected to be wide open.
The 100-lap Pro Late Model race is scheduled to go green at 6:15 p.m. with a 90-minute time limit. The Late Model Sportsman feature, set for 125 laps, will follow at 8 p.m. with a two-hour time limit. Both races will be streamed free on Speed Sport 1.
