Seth Christensen excited for storied World Crown 300

Coming off a season in which he won three times in the Allen Turner Pro Late Model season at Five Flags Speedway, in addition to a third-place in the Snowflake 100, Seth Christensen is starting to eye more and more starts in the Super ranks.

His best success is still coming in the Pro Late Model ranks but he is fresh off a top-10 in the UARA race at Mobile earlier in the month too.

The 17-year-old from Pendergrass, Georgia has an affinity for both the history of the World Crown 300, when it was held at Gresham/Georgia International/Peach State and for the racing history at the Watermelon Capital Speedway of the World too.

Q: What does the World 300 at Cordele Motor Speedway mean to you?

A: I grew up going to Gresham and watching these races, so this is very much an important race at a home track for me. I’m excited to race it again this year after last year’s successes when we raced with Ricky Turner and show what this newly formed (January of this year) team is capable of.

Q: How do you feel about your chances to win the 300?

A: Last year, I qualified and started on the pole in my first ever Super Late Model race. This year, I have more experience, and more testing. The team is really starting to come together, my crew chief Alex Roberts has a lot of experience here. I feel really good about my chances here.

Q: How valuable have the Superfest races leading up to the World 300 been?

A: We didn’t run them all due to schedule conflicts, but we did run the last one. A lot of drivers ran the last one because no one had current data on the ST2 tire at Cordele … So the track may rubber up a little differently but I’m excited to see what we can do to get our JC Motorsports No. 54 in Victory Lane.
