Connor Hall set the quickest lap in the lone practice session ahead of Saturday night’s ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway.
Hall came into the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 as a favorite after winning the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series National Championship. His no. 22 car put up a 20.044 second lap in practice.
“I feel really good,” Hall said. “I thought we unloaded really close and just trying to stay on top of the racetrack. Everybody knows that’s a pretty big deal. This place takes a ton of rubber. I think it’s the only concrete surface that Late Model Stock Car guys race on maybe other than Kingsport. For us, this is a little different from what we’re used to. We’re just trying to make runs, attempting to maintain where our racecar is with the rubber buildup, so I feel good.”
Carter Langley was second quickest with a 20.049, followed by Carson Kvapil (20.090), Lee Pulliam (20.113) and Trevor Ward (20.128). Kade Brown, Daniel Silvestri, Blake Stallings, Ryan Millington, and Stuart Crews rounded out the top-10.
Qualifying will commence at 12:30pm, followed by heat races at 3:00pm. All of the action can be seen live on FloRacing.
