The UARA was set to run its first National Series race since August 12th for the second annual Frank Grill Memorial 112 to begin a busy month of October with races scheduled across multiple divisions for the next three consecutive weekends. However, with forecasts throughout the weekend looking unfavorable for racing conditions and rising fuel prices, the UARA has elected to postpone the Frank Grill Memorial to January 9th, 2027.
UARA released the following statement via Facebook:
This announcement marks the second consecutive shift in the UARA National schedule following the cancellation of the Billy Joe Ingram Memorial 154 at the family’s request. Points are still to be awarded for the Frank Grill 112, but will be credited toward the 2027 season, not 2026.
UARA’s next National race will take place on Saturday, October 17th, for the Bigley Memorial Tune-Up. The series’ next race across all divisions comes next Saturday, October 10th, for the Off Broadway 125 originally scheduled to run in July.
