Ty Majeski claimed fast time for the Ninth Annual Bill Bigley Sr. Memorial 128 at Freedom Factory in advance of the season ending UARA race on Saturday night.
The famed No. 91 took the top spot in qualifying with a 14.477 around the three-eighth mile former Desoto Speedway and also claimed a $4000 bonus thanks to Lankford Lawn Care. It topped the 14.520 that Johnny Sauter took to the provisional pole prior to that lap.
“A $4,000 payday is awesome,” Majeski said. “Ricky (Brooks) shows are awesome. Freedom Factory is great. Ricky does a great job with these shows, his whole crew and that’s why we keep coming back. Just happy to have another great Incredible Bank race car this evening and hopefully we put on a show tonight.”
Majeski has led lap in the Bigley every time he’s come to either Charlotte County or Freedom Factory but is still looking for his first win in the $35,000 to win event.
“We just haven’t been able to close the deal,” Majeski said. “Hopefully tonight is the night. This race has been a struggle for us and we’ve found a lot of different ways to lose this one.”
The top-20 all advanced through lap times and three drivers will advance from the two 20-lap B-mains. The entire event is airing live for Racing America subscribers on Racing America TV.
