Speed 51 to broadcast 2018 CRA Speedfest

Matthew Bishop | STS

CRA SpeedFest at Crisp Motorsports Park (GA), the home of Watermelon Capital Speedway, is always an exciting and unpredictable race.

Whether there’s last-lap battle royale, a car going off the track in the creek behind turn three or the emotion in victory lane after capturing a crown jewel Super Late Model race, you never know what’s going to happen. Fortunately, for the fourth year in a row, race fans who cannot make it to Georgia, won’t miss the action as CRA SpeedFest will be streaming live on Speed51.com on Sunday, January 28th.

Speed51 TV has aired CRA SpeedFest the last three years in a row and all three events have seen incredible action and incredible finishes.

“We’re very excited to be continuing our partnership with Speed51.com and to be able to have our CRA SpeedFest event be seen by race fans all over the world for the fourth year in a row,” said RJ Scott, a managing partner for the Champion Racing Association.  “We’re expecting a great car count and great races like always and we couldn’t be more excited to get down to Cordele to kick off what should be another fun season.”

“It doesn’t replace the feeling of being there, but the video stream allows for fans around the country, with their busy lives, to still see one of the toughest races of the year,” said Mark Keeler, Operations Manager for Speed51.com. “We appreciate the partnership with the track and the officials of CRA to continue to try to help improve exposure for some of the biggest races in America by giving people an opportunity to watch them.”

The Speed51.com live stream will feature 325 laps of racing, 200 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Models and 125 for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models, for just $24.99. The event will be a single-camera stream utilizing the track public address announcers.

The preliminary entry list for the 2018 CRA SpeedFest is already chock full of talent. Headlining the entry list is Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver and former JEGS/CRA Triple Crown winner Erik Jones. Jones won the pole for the 2017 edition of CRA SpeedFest. Joining Jones on the entry list is defending CRA SpeedFest winner Harrison Burton, as well as Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Corey LaJoie.

Defending JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour champion Jack Dossey III headlines the preliminary entry list for the Pro Late Model 125. Dossey is also planning on doing double-duty at SpeedFest, as is Pro Late Model stand-out Casey Roderick.

Those planning on being in the grandstands for this highly-anticipated event won’t regret their decision, and neither will those who order the live Speed51 TV pay-per-view broadcast.
