The ARCA CRA Super Series opener at Anderson Speedway, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to Saturday May 22 due a high likelihood of rain and thunderstorms.
However, such a possibility in early April was considered when CRA officials and Anderson Speedway owner Rick Dawson crafted their respective campaigns.
“With the bleak weather forecast, we wanted to give our fans and competitors ample time to rearrange their weekend schedules before planning their trip to Anderson Speedway,” Dawson said. “Fortunately, when we produced our 2021 schedule, we made provisions for just such a rainout.
“The rescheduled race date will be perfect to help kick off a great week at Anderson Speedway as we prepare for the 73rd Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW.”
The Little 500 Sprint Car race is held the night before the Indianapolis 500.
With the postponement, the CRA Super Series season opener will now be part of the Midwest 250 on the venerable high banks of Salem Speedway on Sunday, April 25th.
