Rain postpones PRA event at OCS

The debut of a new Carolina-based Super Late Model series will have to wait for another weekend.

Due to a wet forecast in the Southeast that already canceled the twice-delayed All-American 400 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville, the Prestoria Race Alliance has postponed this weekend’s Prestoria Realty Group Night at the Races at Orange County Speedway, which included the debut of the new PRA Super Late Model Series and its southern Tour Type Modified series.

A make-up date for the event has not yet been announced.

“It is an unfortunate situation to postpone this weekend’s races,” stated PRA Tour promoter Renee Hackett. “However, with the amount of rain forecasted and the number of teams planning to travel to this weekend’s event, we felt it was in the best interest of our teams and fans to announce this decision in a timely manner.”

In addition to the Super Late Model Series and the Southern Modified Racing Series, the event also was to feature the 602 Tour and the Allison Legacy Series.

The event was going to be broadcast live on Speed 51 as well.
