CARS Super Late Model Tour

CARS Tour West Super season ends at Kern on Saturday

The stage is set for one of the biggest nights of the year as Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway hosts its Super Late Model Championship Night on Saturday, October 25th.

With a huge $15,000 to win and $2,000 to start purse, this 125-lap finale promises high-stakes action as three championship contenders prepare to battle under the lights.

Jacob Gomes enters the night holding a slim 6-point lead over Jace Hansen, with young star Vito Cancilla solidly in third and ready to capitalize on any opportunity. With so much on the line, every lap will be critical in deciding who is crowned the 2025 Super Late Model Champion.

Gomes, who has been strong all season long, knows how important this moment is.

“Really looking forward to this weekend — hopefully we can close out this deal. It would make for a great addition to my career, especially being it’s the first year for the CARS Tour in the Super Late Model division and the CARS Tour being on such a high pedestal would make it just that much better.”

Hansen, sitting just six points back, is equally determined to make his move:

“After our unfortunate mishap racing at our home track, I’m looking forward to getting out to Kern and battling for not only a win but the Championship as well! We have had a few really good runs at Kern, I’m hoping we have a little luck on our side this weekend and that we can be in a position to race for a win!”

Meanwhile, Cancilla, one of the sport’s brightest young stars, feels momentum is on his side:

“My team and I have been gaining a lot of momentum over the last few races. We’re due for a CARS Tour win. Tye and Nascimento Motorsports are working really hard trying to get the v5 ready for me and I hope luck is on my side. I can hardly wait.”

In addition to the race purse, the driver who claims the championship title will also receive a $10,000 champion’s bonus, making this one of the most lucrative Super Late Model finales of the year.

Adding to the excitement, Kevin Harvick will return to Kern Raceway — this time alongside his son, Keelan Harvick, who will make his first career Super Late Model start on championship night. The father-son duo is sure to add even more star power and excitement to an already historic evening.
