Dylan Fetcho Wins 119th Nashville Fairgrounds Opener

The two-time champion righted the shift from a very difficult winter and spring stretch.

A little bit of home cooking went a long way for Dylan Fetcho.

And after failing to reach the finish line in both the Baby Rattler 125 and Alabama 200, not to mention a fifth-place run in January at Pro Late Model Speedfest, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is just what the 23-year-old from Lebanon, Tennessee needed.

The 2020 and 2022 track champion led all 119 laps of the season opener in Downtown Music City on Saturday night — the length designated as a celebration of the track’s 119th birthday.

“We definitely had a good year last year,” said Fetcho on the Racing America broadcast. “This year didn’t start off too good at other tracks, but I was happy to be home and the car was super good tonight.”

Fetcho dedicated the win to Kevin Huffines in Victory Lane.

“I want to say thank you to Kevin Huffines,” Fetcho added. “He just lost his wife recently. He was up there spotting for me, and I really appreciate all his help. He also lets me drive his Legends car and he’s a big part of this program.”

Hunter Wright, and Bryson Shaffer finished on the podium ahead of Rackely WAR teammates Dawson Sutton and Carson Brown.

Pro Late Model racing continues at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on April 15 alongside INEX Legends, Bandoleros and Super Trucks.
