SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest heads to Las Vegas on Friday, Oct. 2, for the inaugural Kyle Busch Classic at the recently renovated Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, paying tribute to Las Vegas native and two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.

The Bullring holds a special place in Busch’s racing career, with the Las Vegas native having begun his racing career at his hometown track before eventually reaching NASCAR’s highest level.

The SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Pro Late Models, SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Limited Late Models and Frank’s Radio Legend Cars will all be in action as the 2026 season enters its final stretch.

As part of the tribute to Busch, the Limited Late Models will compete for 105 laps, recognizing the No. 5 he drove to his first four NASCAR Cup Series victories. The Pro Late Models will race for 118 laps, a nod to the No. 18 Busch drove to 56 Cup Series victories and two championships.

The Pro Late Model championship arrives in Las Vegas deadlocked at the top. Robby Sawyer and Las Vegas native Kyle Keller enter the penultimate race of the season tied with 305 points apiece, while fellow Las Vegas native Jaron Giannini remains in contention just 20 points behind.

Sawyer enters The Bullring looking for his third consecutive victory after wins at All American Speedway and Orange Show Speedway, while Giannini has finished runner-up in each of the last three races.

The Limited Late Models bring a 26-car field to Las Vegas with Kenna Mitchell leading the championship by 36 points over Christian Bazen. Tanner Huddleston sits just one point behind Bazen and 37 points behind Mitchell with three races remaining.

Jeffrey Peterson will be among those looking to challenge Mitchell after leading all 100 laps to win at Orange Show Speedway. Peterson has won all four SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Limited Late Model races he has entered this season and returns to The Bullring as the 2026 Limited Late Model track champion after collecting 12 victories at the speedway this season.

CHAMPIONSHIP DEADLOCKED

The SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Pro Late Model championship enters its penultimate round with Robby Sawyer and Kyle Keller tied atop the standings with 305 points apiece. Jaron Giannini sits third, just 20 points behind the co-leaders. Keller has finished inside the top 10 in all eight races this season, while Sawyer has seven top-10 finishes

SAWYER SEEKS A HAT TRICK

Sawyer enters the Kyle Busch Classic looking to score his third consecutive Pro Late Model victory after winning at All American Speedway and Orange Show Speedway. Sawyer has led 84 laps over the last two races and took the lead from championship rival Kyle Keller late at Orange Show to secure his second consecutive victory.

GIANNINI STACKING UP SECOND-PLACE FINISHES

Giannini enters Las Vegas with runner-up finishes in four of the last five SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Pro Late Model races, including each of the last three. Giannini has led 208 laps this season, the most among the three drivers currently battling for the championship.

VEGAS NATIVES RETURN HOME

Three Las Vegas natives are among the 18 Pro Late Models entered for the inaugural Kyle Busch Classic, with Kyle Keller, Jaron Giannini and Spencer Gallagher set to compete at The Bullring. Gallagher will make his first SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Pro Late Model start of the season and is the owner of GMS Racing, which fields Giannini’s No. 25.

MITCHELL LEADS WITH THREE TO GO

Kenna Mitchell enters the Kyle Busch Classic with 287 points and a 36-point advantage over Christian Bazen in the SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Limited Late Model standings. Mitchell has six top-five finishes in seven starts this season and an average finish of 2.57. Bazen sits second with 251 points, while Tanner Huddleston is one point behind with 250.

PETERSON RETURNS TO FAMILIAR TERRITORY

Jeffrey Peterson enters the Kyle Busch Classic following a dominant victory at Orange Show Speedway, where he led all 100 laps to score his fourth SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Limited Late Model victory of the season. Peterson is 4-for-4 in series competition this year and has led 303 laps across those four starts, including 128 laps over his two series victories at The Bullring earlier in the year. Peterson has also enjoyed a successful season in weekly competition at The Bullring, collecting 12 victories and capturing the 2026 Limited Late Model track championship.

BROWN CONTINUES BULLRING SUCCESS

2025 Limited Late Model track champion Cody Brown has continued his success in weekly competition at The Bullring this season, recording seven runner-up finishes. Brown finished second the last time the SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Limited Late Models visited Las Vegas and has finished inside the top five in both of his series starts this season.

CHAMBERS ON THE VERGE OF THE TITLE

Logan Chambers enters the Kyle Busch Classic with a 94-point championship lead over Daniel O’Donnell and is in position to clinch the 2026 Frank’s Radio Southwest Legends championship Friday night. With 18 cars entered, Chambers will mathematically secure the title by starting the race. Chambers has finished inside the top five in all seven races this season with a 2.14 average finish, including five runner-up finishes and one victory. Chambers has finished runner-up in both previous visits to The Bullring this season and enters Las Vegas following consecutive second-place finishes at All American Speedway and Orange Show Speedway.

BUSCH NAME RETURNS TO THE BULLRING

Brexton Busch will compete in the No. 18 in the Frank’s Radio Southwest Legends during the inaugural Kyle Busch Classic, bringing the Busch name back to the same Bullring where his father began his racing career. Busch enters the weekend during his first full-time season in Legend Cars and finished fourth in his lone Frank’s Radio Southwest Legends start this season at Colorado National Speedway. His appearance adds another connection to a weekend celebrating his father’s racing career and legacy in his hometown of Las Vegas.
