CARS Tour Southwest, Northwest announce 2027 schedules

The SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest and Northwest have announced their schedules for the 2027 season, featuring 18 combined Pro Late Model dates, six Southwest Limited Late Model events and the addition of Meridian Speedway as both regions prepare for their second season under the CARS Tour banner.

The Southwest will once again kick things off in January at Tucson Speedway, while the Northwest will begin its season in April at Tri-City Raceway. Both divisions will also come together for two crossover events at Evergreen Speedway and Colorado National Speedway, continuing a pair of events that were introduced during the inaugural 2026 season.

Southwest Returns to Tucson, Kern to Host Championship Finale

For the second consecutive year, the SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest will open its season at Tucson Speedway as part of the annual Chilly Willy weekend on January 15-16.

The event will feature both Pro Late Models and Limited Late Models, with the latter making their first appearance at the Arizona facility.

Kevin Harvick captured the inaugural Southwest Pro Late Model season opener at Tucson in 2026, holding off his son, Keelan Harvick, to take the victory in the SoundGear 125.

Following Tucson, the series will head to The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 27 before traveling to Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on March 20.

All American Speedway in Roseville, California, returns to the schedule on May 1, moving from its late-August date in 2026 to an earlier spot on the calendar

The Southwest Pro Late Models will then make the trip north to Evergreen Speedway on June 26 for the Mark Galloway event, where they will once again compete alongside the Northwest division.

The two divisions will meet again on August 7 at Colorado National Speedway for the Rumble in the Rockies. Kevin Harvick won the combined event in 2026 while competing for Southwest championship points, adding another victory to his successful return to short-track racing.

A September event remains on the Southwest schedule, although the date and location have yet to be announced.

The final two races of the season will take place at familiar venues, beginning with the second annual Kyle Busch Classic at The Bullring on October 8.

Jeremy Doss captured the 2026 Pro Late Model victory at the Kyle Busch Classic, while Jeffrey Peterson continued his undefeated streak in SPEARS CARS Tour Southwest Limited Late Model competition at The Bullring, winning every race held at the Las Vegas facility so far in 2026.

The Southwest will then close out its season on October 30 at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway during the October Classic, with both Pro Late Models and Limited Late Models on the schedule.

The Southwest Limited Late Models will also return with a six-race schedule in 2027, competing at Tucson Speedway, All American Speedway, both events at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and both visits to Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway.

Kern Raceway was the site of a historic moment for the division in March 2026, when Kenna Mitchell became the first female driver to win a CARS Tour West-sanctioned event, capturing the Limited Late Model victory at the Bakersfield facility

All American Speedway also produced a memorable Limited Late Model race in August, when Dylan Zampa returned to the division after nearly nine months away, winning the pole and leading all 100 laps en route to victory at his home track.

A September event remains on the Southwest schedule, although the date and location have yet to be announced.

Northwest Adds Meridian Speedway, Tri-City to Host Finale

Following its inaugural season in 2026, the SPEARS CARS Tour Northwest will return with a nine-race schedule, highlighted by the addition of Meridian Speedway and a change in venue for the season finale.

The season will once again begin at Tri-City Raceway in West Richland, Washington, on April 3 during the Apple Cup.

It was at Tri-City in 2026 where Thomas Stanford made history, winning the first-ever SPEARS CARS Tour Northwest Pro Late Model race during the Apple Cup weekend.

From there, the series will head to Wenatchee Valley Super Oval on April 24 for the Tree Top 150 Leonard Evans Memorial before making its first trip to Meridian Speedway on May 22.

Meridian Speedway, the quarter-mile Idaho facility known as the “Concrete Jungle,” will welcome the SPEARS CARS Tour Northwest for the first time in 2027 as the track celebrates its 77th season of racing.

Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho, returns with two dates in 2027, beginning with the Road to the 200 on June 12 and followed by the Idaho 200 on July 17.

Kevin Harvick swept both Northwest Pro Late Model events at Stateline during the 2026 season, including the Idaho 200, adding two more victories to his growing list of short-track accomplishments.

Evergreen Speedway will once again play a major role in the Northwest schedule, hosting the Mark Galloway event on June 26 before the series returns on August 20 for the Summer Showdown.

The 2026 Summer Showdown produced one of the more memorable moments of the inaugural Northwest season when Turner Brown went to victory lane in his first career Pro Late Model start.

Between the two Evergreen dates, the Northwest will travel to Colorado National Speedway on August 7 for the Rumble in the Rockies, joining the Southwest division for the second crossover event of the season.

The championship finale will move to Tri-City Raceway on October 2 for the Fall Classic, bringing the season full circle at the same facility where it began.

Wenatchee Valley Super Oval hosted the inaugural Northwest championship finale in 2026, where Andrew Riehl secured the first-ever series title by 11 points over Ethan Ebert.

Riehl claimed the championship without a victory, using consistency throughout the nine-race season to become the inaugural Northwest Pro Late Model champion.

Legends will also return to the Northwest calendar, competing alongside the Pro Late Models at select events.

With both divisions returning for their second season, the addition of Meridian Speedway, two crossover events and several changes to the calendar will set the stage for another year of Pro Late Model racing across the western United States.
