Vinnie Miller to Teams Up with Crooks Racing at New Smyrna Speedway

Vinnie Miller will make his first start in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing in the No. 16 Master Mfg., Inc. Crooks racing Super Late Model (SLM) car at New Smyrna Speedway.

Miller, in his first full year of racing a SLM car, will compete in the 50th annual nine day event which starts Friday, February 12th from the famed New Smyrna Beach, Florida race track.

Miller competed in 13 SLM events in 2015 with a best finish of second at Wiscasset Speedway and eighth in the season finale at Hickory Motor Speedway in late November.

“I’m really excited about racing in such a historic event,” Miller said.  “I really feel that nine days of practice, qualifying and racing will help me with every aspect for the upcoming PASS (Pro All Stars Series) super late model schedule I am set to run in 2016.  I got caught up in someone else’s mess last weekend at Greenville-Pickens and I have to thank Gary (Crooks) and the whole Crooks Racing team for getting the car back together so quickly.  I am really hoping to prove something to them by qualifying well, finishing the events and not tearing up the car.  Hopefully, we will be successful in that endeavor.  I can’t thank my sponsor Master Mfg., Inc and my family for their support.”

Crooks Racing teammate, Zane Smith will also be competing in the annual event.

The 50th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing begins Friday evening at New Smyrna Speedway.
