Spears Manufacturing named new title sponsor for CARS Tour West

CARS Tour West

The CARS Tour West has announced that Spears Manufacturing will be the entitlement sponsor for the series in 2025 and will be renamed to the Spears CARS Tour West.

Spears has been a staple in racing since 1987 when West Coast Stock Car Hall of Famer Wayne Spears and his wife Connie founded Spears Motorsports. They have been instrumental in West Coast racing for decades, from sponsoring drivers and series to having their own team.

“Today, Spears Manufacturing reaffirms our commitment to motorsports that has been such an important part of the Spears family and business for decades,” said Vice President of Sales Operations for Spears Manufacturing Company, Matt Baker. “We are proud to partner with the CARS Tour West and our friend, Kevin Harvick. The 2025 season will mark the 30th anniversary of the first year Kevin was behind the wheel for Spears Motorsports, and we look forward to being a part of the excitement the CARS Tour West is bringing to racetracks throughout the west.”

CARS Tour West co-owner Kevin Harvick joined Spears Motorsports in 1995 and began making a name for himself, earning multiple wins and the 1998 Winston West championship. Harvick stopped racing for the team in 1988, but created a lasting bond. While Harvick was racing in NASCAR, the Spears family continued to support various levels of motorsports in the West Coast.

“Partnering with Spears for the CARS Tour West is a great step for us,” said Harvick. “The Spears family has meant so much to West Coast racing and together I know we will continue to build programs and opportunities for so many racers looking to advance their racing careers. I’m so thankful for my time driving for Wayne and Connie and it’s really rewarding to come back all these years later and partner together to help the next generation of racers. I’m excited for what we are building with the Spears CARS Tour West.”

The first race for the Spears CARS Tour West will be on Saturday, January 25, at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway.
