Erik Tavares

Jack Baldwin will pilot the historic Tommy Baldwin Racing 7NY in more than 20 Tour-Type Modified events in 2025.

Majority of the races will be with the SMART Modified Tour. Baldwin will compete in the full 14-race season driving the 7NY. Jack has two SMART Modified Tour starts already, scoring 5th place finish at New River All-American and an 8th place finish at Carteret County in 2024.

Jack will also compete in the Tour-Type Modified events at New Smyrna Speedway’s World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing from February 10-14, as well as the end of the season events at Riverhead Raceway (Islip 300) and Wall Stadium Speedway (Turkey Derby). Additional events may be announced at a later date also.

Jack is the reigning 602 Modified champion at New Smyrna and has multiple 602 Modified wins throughout his career. In 2025, he will be chasing his first career Tour-Type win.

“Jack has run select events the last few years but we’re excited to have him a full season in the Tour-Type Modifieds to continue to gain experience and refine his skills behind the wheel,” team owner Tommy Baldwin Jr. said. “He will be running against stout competition in every race he runs.”

“I’m definitely excited to get the chance to race on the SMART Modified Tour full-time,” Jack said. “Watching the series the last few years, you can tell the racing is tight and the competition is unlike anything else when it comes to Modified racing in the south. Driving the 7NY and working with our family team all year will be special. Excited to kick it off with Speedweeks at New Smyrna.”
