NASCAR says nothing official on Pinty’s to FansChoice

Not so fast on the NASCAR Pinty’s Series live stream coming to FansChoice.TV this season.

After the platform’s social media channel confirmed that the series would join the K&N Pro Series, Whelen Modified Tour, EURO NASCAR and countless weekly short tracks on FansChoice, a spokesman from the sanctioning body says nothing is official yet.

“We are working with our partners at TSN to stream a handful of NASCAR Pinty’s Series races for fans in Canada and the US. We hope to have more details to announce as we get closer to the Victoria Day weekend opener at CTMP.”

The challenge here, as the statement indicates, is the working on an agreement that satisfies the Canadian television partner, TSN.

Much like with the Pro Series and Modified Tour streaming needing NBC’s blessing, the Pinty’s Series streams need to be approved by TSN. Pinty’s races are aired on a tape-delayed basis in Canada and not at all in the United States.

Last season, FansChoice.TV aired the tripleheader event at New Hampshire that featured Pinty’s, Modifieds and the Pro Series. The annual event at Trois Rivières also receives a live broadcast, albeit, with French broadcasters.

Stay turned as more will develop in advance of the May 19 season opener at Mosport.
