The holiday celebration kicks off early in New England with the conclusion of the Tri-Track Open Modified Series event at Seekonk Speedway on the eve of Independence Day on Tuesday night.
What was once Open Wheel Wednesday is now Tri-Track Tuesday with the winner still taking home the $10,000 winner’s share. Richard Savary will lead the field to green for the remaining 78 laps since the race was red flagged on lap 22 for rain at 9:24 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27.
Pit gates will open on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. and the front gate at 5:00 p.m. The race will resume at 7:00 p.m. All tickets purchased for June 27 will be honored. New tickets also may be purchased-general admission $10; pit passes for $20.
The broadcast will continue on Speed51.com for those that purchased the event last week. The final 78 laps can also be purchased for $24.99.
The line-up at the resumption of the race can be found below. Keep in mind that some drivers who started the race have stated they would not return. The track has offered $200 in tow money for every team that returns for the conclusion.
