NASCAR Modified Tour at Richmond Rained Out to Saturday

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race scheduled for Friday at Richmond Raceway has been postponed to Saturday evening due to a persistent rain across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The second race of the season will now be contested following the NASCAR Xfinity Series race. That places the anticipated green flag sometime around 4:30 ET. Austin Beers will lead the field to green ahead of Justin Bonsignore, Patrick Emerling and Bryan Narducci.

The rainout also sets up an unfortunate schedule conflict with the SMART Modified Tour at nearby South Boston Speedway on Saturday night. The series and track and hoped to gain a couple of entrants after the NASCAR Tour race the night before. Several drivers were already entered in both, including Matt Hirschman and Bobby Labonte.
