Ronnie Bassett Jr. and Bassett Racing are set for their fourth full-time CARS Late Model Stock Tour effort in 2026 with a new crew chief and a retro sponsor partnership.
“This season is about putting ourselves in position every week to win races,” said Bassett in a press release. “We’re focused, determined and ready to turn all our preparation into victories and a serious championship run.”
In the pursuit of that goal is crew chief Jason Sarvis, the former short track racer turned mechanic, who most recently worked with Kevin Powell Speed Motorsports last season. Sarvis had previous stops in a mechanical role at Richard Childress Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing.
“Jason understands what it takes to win races and championships,” Bassett added. “He knows how to make the right adjustments because he’s been in the driver’s seat himself, and we communicate really well together. His experience and knowledge will be a huge asset for our entire No. 04 team.”
“I’m excited to work with Ronnie because he’s a hands-on driver, and I know he has the talent and drive to win,” Sarvis said. “Together, I think we can make the No. 04 team a serious contender for the championship in 2026.”
Bassett will have Jerry Hunt Supercenter’s colors on the car, which started earlier in his Late Model Stock Car and went into his brief NASCAR tenure. Bessmer Tire, Affordable Heating and Air, Buddy Scoops Ice Cream and Bassett Gutters all serve supporting roles.
