Modified Tour Spring Sizzler 200 again postponed, Stafford weekly show still on

For the second weekend in a row the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Spring Sizzler 200 has been postponed due to rain.

A torrential downpour nixed the entire regularly scheduled event last weekend and now a similar forecast has postponed the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race to next Friday night, May 10.

With that said, the remainder of the track’s weekly action is still scheduled for this Saturday, May 4. That means all five of the track five weekly divisions will be in action. That includes the marquee Division I SK Modifieds, SK Light Modifieds, Late Models, Vintage All-Stars and Limited Late Models.

Pit gates will open at 10:00 a.m. and general admission gates at 11:00 a.m. Qualifying races will kick-off at 1:30PM with feature racing slated to begin at 2:30PM. The full schedule can be found below.

The Open Modified 80 event scheduled for May 10th has been moved to May 24.

“We appreciate all of our teams working with us,” explained Stafford GM Mark Arute. “This weather has been tough but we want to get a race in for all the teams, drivers, and fans. It made the most sense to bring the Modified Tour back next Friday for a one-day show. Hopefully we can put the bad weather behind us.”

The complete schedule for this weekend can be found below.
