Doug Coby continues to make a habit of starting up front.

The Milford, Connecticut, driver earned his third Mayhew Tools Dominator pole award of the young season and his 25th career on Saturday in preparation for the Seekonk 150 at Seekonk Speedway.

Coby posted a quick time of 11.923 seconds around the third-mile as part of the final of three qualifying groups. The pole award also allowed Coby’s team to collect the third ‘Big Stick’ of the season courtesy of Mayhew Tools.

Matt Hirschman earned his third consecutive front row start at Seekonk, posting the second fastest time. Hirschman’s lap of 11.938 seconds allows him the outside of the front row for the drop of the green.

Chase Dowling, who is driving for veteran Jamie Tomaino, was third with a lap of 11.969 seconds. Ron Silk, who paced the only practice session, was fourth, and Craig Lutz fifth.

Anthony Nocella was sixth, followed by Sam Rameau, Justin Bonsignore, Patrick Emerling and Matt Swanson.
