Kingsport Speedway’s new ownership reveals 2019 schedule

Ervin and Keith Stiltner now own the Concrete Jungle …

Kingsport Speedway

The new Kingsport Speedway in Tennessee now has a schedule for the 2019 season.

Actually, it’s not so much new instead of a continuation of a recent positive trend.

The track was officially purchased by father-and-son racers Ervin and Keith Stiltner last month from previous owner Joe Loven. The Stiltners have leased the 0.375-mile ‘concrete jungle’ since 2014.

“We couldn’t be happier to take the reins at Kingsport,” said Ervin Stiltner. “We’ve seen great support from the competitors, fans, sponsors and local community since we started leasing the track in 2014.

“We appreciate everyone’s support and look forward to waving the green flag on 2019 and beyond.”

The first two races of the season are slated for Saturday afternoons due to the cooler temperatures and then transition to prime time Friday nights on April 12.

The schedule includes a return of the Super Cup Stock Car Series and 21 Late Model Stock Car races across 20 dates — with twins scheduled for July 5.

OTHER REGIONAL SCHEDULES: South Boston | Langley | Motor Mile | Hickory
