CARS Tour FS1 Wilkesboro TV ratings are in

The television ratings are in for the first ever televised CARS Tour race, the Window World 100 at North Wilkesboro Speedway, which aired live on FS1 on Friday night.

With Eric Brennan, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick in the broadcast booth, the race averaged 253,000 viewers according to Nielsen. It also drew a peak of 365,000. The event also was simulcast by its usual streaming partner, FloRacing, that audience not factoring into these numbers.

For the sake of comparison, the ARCA Racing Series on FS1 generally draws an average viewer range of 150,000-300,000 over the course of the season with some exceptions both on the high end and low end depending on what else is on television in terms of competition.

Regardless, the broadcast was a major source of exposure for teams competing in the regional Late Model Stock touring division in its third season owned by NASCAR mainstays Earnhardt, Harvick, Jeff Burton and Justin Marks.

Matt Weaver is the owner and founder of Short Track Scene. Weaver grew up in the sport, having raced himself before becoming a reporter in college at the University of South Alabama. He also has extensive experience covering NASCAR, IndyCar and Dirt Sprint Cars.
