Bobby McCarty Earns Pole At Ace

Bobby McCarty started his quest for a second CARS LMSC Tour victory at Ace Speedway on Friday by qualifying on pole in the 125-lap feature.

One year ago at Ace Speedway, Bobby McCarty was left dejected after being turned into the inside frontstretch wall by Josh Berry after leading 120 laps.

McCarty began his quest to avenge that heartbreaking loss on the right note Friday evening by laying down a lap of 15.317 in qualifying, which put him on pole for the Race at Ace 125.

“We’ve had a good car all weekend,” McCarty said. “The Nelson Motorsports guys really busted their tails to get this car ready but now we have to put the rest of the pieces together.

McCarty entered tonight’s race with just a one-point advantage over Deac McCaskill in the CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour standings. McCaskill will line up seventh on the grid.
